365 Self Portraits

About Lauryn

Hello all! Whether you’re a friend or just so happened to stumble upon this blog, welcome!

I’m Lauryn and this is my 365 project, an attempt to take and post a self portrait every day in 2011.

I am a photographer, and have never felt really comfortable being on the other side of the camera. I don’t have confidence issues or anything, I just don’t think I’m very photogenic. But I realized that most of the people I photograph probably don’t think they’re photogenic either. If I don’t think I can make myself look decent in a photo, how can I justify my photos of others? I figured this would help me become more in tune with how my subjects feel, and give me a betteer idea on how to make my clients feel more comfortable and beautiful through my lens.

Feel free to subscribe and comment, PLEASE comment! I have no idea how great/horrible I’m doing without feedback, and I would greatly appreciate it!

crazy! I have thought about doing this exact same thing! My whole life I have hated to take pictures. I never like the way I turn out in them. I recently turned 30 and I saw a picture of myself at 19 years old (pardon my vain-ness here) but I couldnt believe how absolutely hot I was. I didnt think it at the time and now that I am getting older Im so upset that I hid from the camera for so long. This has been some great inspiration. I am glad to see I am not the only one. Your photos are great. I am glad you are taking the time to do this. In 20 years it will be one of your greatest treasures 🙂 Keep up the amazing work dahhhhling!
